My “Day Job”
As I mention on occasion I have a job, what I affectionately call “my day job” because at the end of my working day I have all manner of “evening jobs” that I have to accomplish as well, though none of them pay the bills. What I do in the evening is for my own pleasure and non-monetary enrichment, be it my five Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, my grand daughter, my husband, my home, reading – or this humble [and sometimes not so "humble"] blog.
My “Day Job” is the accounting manager for ResortQuest Charleston, a beach vacation rental company.
I wanted to share where I spend so much of my time and energy because it is beautiful and the people are great. I do not earn anything for this link nor receive anything of a non-monetary nature in exchange. This blog is about influenza and pandemics, but it is also about “me” in so many fundamental ways and my job is a big part of that “me”. However, in the interest of full disclosure… of course those who vacation through us ultimately do pay my salary so these links are not without a teeny-tiny bit of self-interest.
