Do you have a highly successful contact form on your WordPress website? But you are worried whether it will still look good once you change to a new theme design? Most WordPress users find themselves in this tough spot sooner or later. They have an insane amount of user traffic arriving at their contact forms and the conversion rate is sky-high. However, somehow the design of the site just doesn’t work that well and requires an upgrade. This usually means that the existing contact or registration form skin on the site will have to be styled in order to match the new theme design. That by itself isn’t a concern though. The real concern is how your site users will react to the new form design. The possibility of seeing a dip in your contact form’s conversion rate can torment you without end and make you go through sleepless nights.

Since this is a genuinely scary scenario for most WordPress users out there, the highly talented team at RegistrationMagic decided to address the problem once and for all. RegistrationMagic calls this the “Match My Theme” feature. It is this highly valuable feature that we are going to explore today.

So, What Does “Match My Theme” Mean Exactly?

Does it adapt and style form skin to the active theme on the site automatically?

Will it save you the many many hours required to recreate the same form for the new design?

Will it help you sleep easy at night without worrying what will happen to your form’s conversion rate when you switch to the new theme?

If your form is built using RegistrationMagic, the answer to all these questions is a resounding “Yes”!

Enough talk though! Let us now see this powerful feature in action. We’ll be using a single form built using RegistrationMagic and figure out ourselves how it will looks on multiple different WordPress themes. If you need a quick overview of how to create a contact or registration form using RegistrationMagic, I recommend checking out our Starter Guide first.

When reviewing compatibility with themes, what better way there is than checking out the most popular themes among WordPress users nowadays. Here’s our form with screenshots of how it appears on five of the most popular WordPress themes…

Avada contact form

Avada contact form or registration form design adapts with Avada theme, automatically.

Astra theme form

Divi contact form

Neve theme contact form

Neve Theme Form

Hello Elementor contact form

Registration form design adapts with Hello Elementor theme, automatically.

Flatsome contact form

Flatsome contact form or registration form design adapts with Flatsome theme, automatically.

RM with Flatsome

With each theme change, the form adapted to the new design perfectly. No tinkering with the design was required at all. Now the themes mentioned above are all based on lighter colors, so you might wonder that the changes you are seeing aren’t that convincing. Well, little do we know that we are both in for a surprise here. As soon as I change to themes that are based on darker colors, everything just starts to get a whole lot more interesting. Don’t believe me? Just see for yourself how RegistrationMagic adapts to the following unusual theme designs…

Coral Dark Theme contact form

Coral Dark contact form or registration form design adapts with Coral theme, automatically.

RM with Coral Dark

Big Blue contact form

Big Blue contact form or registration form design adapts with Big Blue theme, automatically.

RM with Big Blue

Amazing! Isn’t it? It matters little to RegistrationMagic which type of theme you apply onto your WordPress site, it just adapts and style the form design to the theme design without a hiccup.

Adaptability in the Evolution of Web Forms

Gone are those frustrating days when users had to fight with web forms and try to mould them manually to their liking. The web forms of today are more flexible, adaptable and intelligible to the users’ ever growing needs. It is web forms like these that will become the mainstay for WordPress websites worldwide, while those who refused to adapt to the users’ needs will wither away. Imbibing the principle of adaptability, pioneers like RegistrationMagic are surely well placed in the driver’s seat, steering the future course of web form evolution.

Hi RegistrationMagic Users,

We are excited to announce the launch of our new form publishing shortcode. With this new form publish shortcode, RegistrationMagic is giving you a completely new code base to render and process your forms. This new code will load your forms faster and with a new frontend design. It’ll also allow you to set the theme of each form individually from the shortcode itself.

It is important to note that the new shortcode will not affect your currently published forms in any way. This is a completely new method to publish your forms, new and old both. You can keep your currently published forms as they are while adopting the new shortcode at your own pace. Although we recommend switching to the new shortcode as soon as possible.

Now lets move ahead and discuss how you can use this new shortcode.

The New Shortcode and Its Attributes

The new shortcode is available in this format: . Here, RM_Forms is the name of the shortcode while ‘id’ and ‘theme’ are its attributes. The ‘id’ is the ID of the form that you want to publish with this shortcode. The ‘theme’ attribute lets you set the theme of the form directly from the shortcode itself.

Although the theme for all your forms can be set from the Global Settings in one go, this new shortcode allows you to change the theme of each form individually. Setting the theme in the shortcode will override the theme that you have set from the Global Settings.

There are three options you can use in the ‘theme’ attribute…

  1. Default – The Default option applies the default design of RegistrationMagic forms regardless of the WordPress theme you are using.
  2. Classic – The Classic option applies a set neutral tone which looks pleasing with all kinds of WordPress themes.
  3. Match My Theme – The Match My Theme option will let forms pick visual elements automatically from your active WordPress theme.

Important Note: The ‘theme’ attribute is optional. If the ‘theme’ attribute is not specified, the theme set in the global settings will be used.

The Old Shortcode

The old RegistrationMagic form publish shortcode will continue to remain activate for some time. This is the old shortcode format – [RM_Form id='1']. Please note that this old shortcode only has the form ‘id’ attribute in it and not the ‘theme’ attribute, which is made available only in the new shortcode.

We strongly recommend using the new shortcode from now on as our plan is to phase the old one out very soon.

Optimization

The new shortcode also renders the form with a new code base which’ll result in overall better performance of your forms. Following are the major changes in the new code…

  1. Removed PFBC form builder library – With the new shortcode, we have removed the usage of the PFBC form builder library completely. The new form will render without using this library as it is now obsolete.
  2. Minimized usage of sessions – The new shortcode will also make minimum use of sessions. Since the PFBC form builder library made extensive use of sessions in its form building process, removing it has reduced usage of sessions significantly. Session will continue to be used for login functionality though.
  3. Reduced database queries – The new shortcode will load and submit forms with reduced database queries. This means your forms will now load faster and submit faster too.
  4. Modernized Form Design  – The new shortcode will load and submit forms with a live error handling – that is, errors are displayed as the user fill the fields as oppose to when user submit the form. Also, the new shortcode allow  you to change the form’s appearance directly through the ‘theme’ attribute.

Migration to the New System

To update your form, simply change the existing shortcode on your published page from [RM_Form id='x'] to No form selected. This adjustment will allow the form to load from the new system. Rest assured, there is no need to rebuild the form or the form fields during this migration. Only a shortcode change is required. The entire process typically takes less than a minute.

The most common way potential customers approach us these days is through a contact form on our websites. So, let us discuss today how we can make use of Analytics to increase the effectiveness of our web forms. Of all the web form systems available for WordPress (the most common platform for websites worldwide), it is only RegistrationMagic that offers the kind of Analytics that is most useful to us. RegistrationMagic does this by offering you an entire screen fully dedicated to Form Analytics. In the remaining part of this article, I’ll be breaking down each section of RegistrationMagic’s Form Analytics screen to help you better understand it. So let us begin…

User Registration Overview

The user registration overview tab shows all the graphs and analytics in one place. In the first row, it has the basic count and functionalities related to forms and inboxes. The total forms count tells about the number of total forms. It also has an add new button to create a new form. The total submission tells about the overall submissions made to all the forms. Also, it has a link to the inbox page. The total users have the count of the number of users currently, with a link to the user manager. The total user roles have the count of user roles assigned to the users like administrator, editor, etc. Further, it has a link to the role manager. The submissions counter shows a graph that displays the number of submissions made in a span of either 1 day a week or a month. The trending forms show a pie chart with a percentage of which form has the maximum share of submissions. The latest submission column shows the list of the last submissions received in any of the forms.

The user registrations graph displays the number of registrations that occurred in the last 7 days, 7 weeks, a year, or the total count of all-time registrations. The login graph illustrates the number of logins that occurred in the last 7, 30, 60, or 90 days. The submissions counter indicates the number of submissions to various forms with options for Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, and Last Month. The latest forms tab lists the last 5 records created by the admin, offering options to directly access the form dashboard or edit form fields. The essential shortcodes provide quick access to shortcodes for features like login forms and user directories, making it easy to embed specific forms on your website.

The logins panel provides up-to-date information on login activities, indicating whether they were normal or abnormal and successful or unsuccessful. The settings panel displays various options, including general settings, user accounts, privacy, and more, and it offers a direct link to access the global settings window. The export options allow users to download submissions for a selected form in CSV format, which is compatible with spreadsheets. Users can also download a specific form, including its layout and settings, as a backup or for importing into another installation. The latest attachments and payments sections display the most recent attachments made to submissions and payment records, with an option to download the latest attachments using the download button.

Form Analytics

Form analytics offer detailed insights into form submissions, including submission percentages and more. You can reset all statistics by selecting “Reset All Stats.” The reports section compiles comprehensive reports on form submissions, payments, and other data, which can be downloaded in PDF format.

The Form Analytics screen starts with a frequency graph, which provides a visual representation of the difference between the number of form visitors and the number of actual submissions. You can filter these statistics for the last 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days using the ‘Show data for’ filter located at the top left.

‘Conversion %’ is a pie chart derived from the same data as the ‘Submissions Over Time’ graph, which tracks visits and submissions. It complements the ‘Submissions Over Time’ frequency graph, aiding in visualizing user drop-off on your form and providing the total number of form visitors. ‘Browsers Used’ is another pie chart displaying the browsers utilized by form viewers, valuable for optimizing your form for specific browsers. ‘Failure Rate’ signifies the percentage of users who visited but couldn’t complete or submit the form. ‘Average Filling Time’ indicates the average time users take to complete and submit the form, helping identify areas for simplification.

The ‘Browser Wise Conversion’ bar chart breaks down total form visits and submissions by the browser used. This data can be synchronized with the ‘Browsers Used’ statistic to determine which browsers your form should be optimized for.

The form submissions table, found at the bottom of the Form Analytics screen, presents a tabular summary of all form visits and submissions. Initially, it displays the most recent 10 records on the first page, requiring you to utilize pagination at the bottom right to access older statistics.

Field Analytics

Field analytics provides analytics for each component of a specific form. You can choose the form from the “Toggle Form” option. Each field in the form has its analytics, displayed mainly as pie charts. Segments are assigned to unique names, websites, or specific fields, enabling users to identify the segments with the highest percentage. The number of pie charts corresponds to the number of fields in the form, and if there are many segments, you can scroll through them using the down-key buttons.

Reports

The reports section empowers users with multiple options and the ability to perform multi-comparisons. It allows users to generate advanced and customizable reports containing essential information. To access “Reports”, users should navigate to the form dashboard, go to form analytics, and select the reports option. On the landing page, you will find selections like Form Submissions, Login Reports, Attachments, Payments, and Form Comparisons. On the extreme right-hand side at the top, there is an option to schedule email reports.

The form submissions report generates a comprehensive summary of form submissions across various forms. You can customize the date range from the provided options or create your own. Use the “Select Forms” option to choose all forms or a specific one. Additionally, you can filter submissions by email for specific users. This data is available for download for future reference.

The login records report offers a date-filtering option. Users can then apply a status filter, such as success or failure, to generate a login records report.

The attachment report presents a breakdown of received file types. You also have the option to download all files attached to a form during the selected time period as a single zip file. The filter options include a date and a specific form.

The payments section compiles payment records for all payments made from the selected form within the chosen time period. Additionally, it features a payment status filter, encompassing pending, completed, canceled, and refunded payments.

The form comparison report generates a side-by-side comparison table for two chosen forms, considering various performance parameters. You can select any two forms and apply a date filter. This table offers a side-by-side analysis of several aspects, including success rate, total submissions, number of fields, total payment count, and more.

Scheduled email reports enable users to schedule and customize email reports. To create a new report, access the menu and customize its settings. Provide a name for the scheduled report and select its data source from options like Form Submissions, Logins, and Form Payments. Specify the recipients using the “Email Report To” option, choosing from options like Only Me, All Admins, or Other Users. Set the frequency for sending the email report and select the date and time for the initial report. Subsequent reports will follow this schedule. Lastly, customize the email subject and body. From the main page, you can manage scheduled email reports by deleting, enabling, or disabling them as needed.

So, the User Registration Overview, Form Analytics, Field Analytics, and Reports sections provide a comprehensive toolkit for users to gain valuable insights, manage form submissions, and generate detailed reports. From monitoring registration trends to analyzing user behavior, these features empower users to make informed decisions and optimize their forms for better performance. Additionally, the option to schedule email reports ensures timely access to critical data, making RegistrationMagic a powerful tool for form management and analytics.

WordPress Registration Form Payments

If you have a paid registration form on your WordPress website, you must have met a lot of users by now who wish to pay offline. Instead of paying online with form submission, most people prefer to pay offline nowadays. This request is increasing by the day as people need the flexibility to pay at the time of their choosing, by the method of their choosing. The payments need not necessarily take place when users are registering from a form. As the owner of a membership website, or an eCommerce website, it becomes absolutely essential for you to grant this freedom to your users. Giving them this flexibility will send out a strong message that you value your users’ time as well as money. This will eventually give a major boost to your website’s credibility and attract even more users willing to be members of it.

We are going to explore today how RegistrationMagic allows you this flexibility and how that will make people thank you later for the awesome registration experience you provided to them.

Offline Payments – Register Now, Pay Later

RegistrationMagic allows collection of payments even after a user has submitted the registration form owing to its unique ‘Offline’ payment method. Configuring ‘Offline’ payments is fairly quick and easy. All you need to do to make your registration form ‘Offline’ payment compatible, is to activate it from RegistrationMagic’s Global Settings -> Payments settings. See the following screenshots on how I did it for my own registration form…

Global Settings Offline Enable

Global Settings Offline Configure

Once ‘Offline’ payment is configured from the Global Settings, the next step is to create a Product. Products are how RegistrationMagic adds payments to a registration form. You can create as many Products as you want and then add them onto your form using the ‘Add Product’ field. I just created a Product of my own and set its price to $9.99. After that, I added it to my registration form as a ‘Product’ field.

Adding Offline Product Field

There’s a lot more to Products and Payments in RegistrationMagic and I am only covering a few small parts of it here. If you need more details on how to configure Payments and add Products to forms, I’d recommend checking out our Payments Guide: Setup payments on registration form using products.

Now that our Product is added to the registration form, the price will show up to the users on registration. Let us see how our registration form works with ‘Offline’ payment configured on it. I filled out the form with all the details required by it…

Registering with Offline Payment

…And then submitted it…

Offline Registration Successful

Post Submission Process

After submitting the form, I got the form submission successful message and an email was delivered to my inbox by RegistrationMagic. This is the same email template that we configured from the Global Settings -> Payments settings. The email is a message to the user registering from the form to perform a set of actions as decided by the site admin to get his/her user account activated.

In this example, the email is a message to me, as a member trying to register from the form, to contact site administrator on further steps to complete the payment process. The form has registered all the detailed I entered during form submission. And now, it is up to the site administration to activate my account on the site, once I have completed the payment process.

Giving Users the Convenience to Pay Offline

RegistrationMagic’sOffline’ payment method is a pretty neat way to simplify the overall user registration process. It allows you to control which user accounts to activate and which ones not, depending on which users made their due payments in time. And all the while, it allows your users the ease of registering without having to worry about paying at the same time.

So can you, or your site users, ever say no to such a win-win deal? I bet we both have the same answer in our minds.

Secure Online Forms

WordPress forms security is probably the most essential component of any web application system. If an application cannot even secure the data it collects, everything else it does is pretty much useless anyway. Today we are going to talk about why security is essential in the context of web forms and how we can create highly secure online forms on a WordPress website.

You must have interacted with a lot of online forms by now. Whether it is for contact requests, registering for an event, or probably just signing up for a newsletter service. When working with any of these, you must have just entered your details and submitted the form. Right? But how you be really sure that your data on the site will remain secure? The problem of WordPress forms security is so widespread that Google took notice of it in 2017 and started displaying such forms as insecure to users, through its Chrome web browser.

WordPress Forms Security

WordPress, being the most popular platform for building websites, isn’t safe from this scourge. One such major vulnerability was detected in the Ninja Forms plugin in 2016. And Ninja Forms is currently installed on more than a million WordPress websites.

So, what can a WordPress site owner do to secure online forms and to keep user information safe from prying eyes? Well, the answer is RegistrationMagic. It is the fastest growing user registration plugin available for WordPress and offers exceptional WordPress forms security features to keep form submissions safe.

Here’s a quick look at the security features RegistrationMagic offers…

1. reCaptcha

RegistrationMagic provides seamless integration of its online forms with Google’s reCaptcha user authentication check. reCaptcha for RegistrationMagic forms can be activated from RegistrationMagic’s Global Security Settings.

All you need to do is enable the reCaptcha setting there and add your Site Key and Secret Key. Both of which can be obtained from Google’s reCaptcha Portal. Once activated, it’ll setup the reCaptcha authentication on all your RegistrationMagic forms.

Enable reCaptcha

2. Form Submission Limit for a Device

Hackers are increasing employing brute force techniques to find flaws in a form’s security and exploit it. However, this a trial and error method and requires plenty of failed attempts before any success is achieved.

RegistrationMagic halts such brute force attacks halfway by giving you the power to limit form submissions from a particular device. This means that if a hacker is trying to find security flaws in the website from the form, RegistrationMagic will stop any further submissions from his/her device. This will end the possibility of any further attacks from it.

Form Submission Limit for a Device

3. Password Rules

Enabling password rules is a highly effective way to make sure users registering from your form aren’t putting in weak passwords. Weak passwords can easily be targeted by hackers to gain access to your website and then wreak havoc once inside. Always ensure that user accounts on your website have limited access and are not using weak passwords.

Following are the key rules that passwords should follow to be considered strong…

  1. At least one uppercase letter
  2. At least one number
  3. Contain at least one special character
  4. Minimum length (should be at least 7 letters long)
  5. Maximum length (15 is a good max limit but the more the better)

Password Rules

4. Ban IP Addresses

If you received a lot of redundant form submissions from a particular IP address, it is always a good idea to ban that IP address from accessing the form again. You never know if those redundant form submissions were spam or someone just trying to break into your website. In most cases, it is the latter.

Banned IPs

5. Ban Email Addresses

Similar to banning IP addresses, you can also ban email addresses from accessing the form too. To make the form stronger in resisting any possible attacks, use both the bans simultaneously.

Banned Emails

6. Blacklisted/Reserved Usernames

Common usernames are easy pickings for hackers. Before getting to the password of a user account, a hacker has to determine the username of the account first. However, if someone is using common usernames like ‘admin’ or ‘company’, that person has done half of the hacker’s work then and there. The hacker now only has to determine the password for the account as the username is already on their list to go for first. So, always reserve common usernames from being used on your website.

Make use of RegistrationMagic and follow these simple WordPress forms security rules to secure online forms and to keep hackers away from your web forms for good.

Add event forms to your WordPress website

Want to add event forms to your WordPress website? Or, want to use your favorite user registration WordPress plugin to register users for your events? If you answered yes, then you have two ways to go about it. You can either use RegistrationMagic’s built-in form features. Or, a much better way is that you can use RegistrationMagic’s integration with EventPrime – a unique events calendar WordPress plugin that allows you to add and view events right within the events calendar. This integration requires only RegistrationMagic and EventPrime active on your WordPress site. As for the rest of the process to register users, this guide is here to help you out.

RegistrationMagic Setup

Firstly, we need to have a user registration form already created with RegistrationMagic. I am assuming you have one already. However, if you don’t, you can simply download one from the many user registration form templates available on RegistrationMagic’s website. If grabbing an online event registration form template off the shelf doesn’t fit your needs, you can create a new one yourself. Just follow the simple steps mentioned in the official RegistrationMagic Starter Guide.

EventPrime Setup

To install and activate EventPrime on your WordPress site, just log in to your WP Dashboard and visit the ‘Plugins’ menu. Then, under the ‘Plugins’ menu, visit the ‘Add New’ page. Next, on the ‘Add New’ page, search for ‘EventPrime.’ Once ‘EventPrime’ shows up, click on ‘Install’ and then ‘Activate.’ Now, the integration between RegistrationMagic and EventPrime is ready to implement.

But first, to set up our RegistrationMagic form on an EventPrime event, we need to create an event with EventPrime. You can follow EventPrime’s Official Starter Guide and create your first event using EventPrime.

The Default EventPrime Event Registration Form

Moving forward, I have created an event in the EventPrime WordPress calendar plugin already. To allow user registrations for an event in EventPrime, it needs to have ‘Bookings’ enabled first. Therefore, we are going to configure Bookings for our event next.

Visit the Event Dashboard by clicking on the ‘Dashboard’ link on the event details popup.

Event Dashboard Link

Then access the Event Settings in the Dashboard.

Event Dashboard Settings Icon

Here you will find the options to enable Bookings, as well as Booking start and close dates.

Event Settings Bookings Options

Go ahead, set these options now, and we’ll move ahead to the next step.

Without the integration with RegistrationMagic, EventPrime displays its own user registration form or event form for event bookings. This form is visible to site users who are not already registered and logged in.

To see it, open the EventPrime frontend page where the events are displaying. This is the page where the shortcode [em_events] is added. From the events calendar on this page, hover your cursor over your newly created event and click on its title. This will take you to that event’s individual page. Ensure you visit it after logging out, as the registration form is not available to already registered site members.

On the event page, you’ll see a button with the text ‘Register Now.’

Event Booking Register Button

Click on the button, and it’ll take you to the default EventPrime registration form.

EventPrime Registration Form

The RegistrationMagic Registration Form

Now, to replace this form with our very own RegistrationMagic event forms, we need to go back to the Event Settings in the Event Dashboard. On this settings page, find the option ‘Event Registration Form.’ In the dropdown next to it is a list of all the registration forms created using RegistrationMagic. Also included in the list is the option to fall back to the default EventPrime registration form.

Event Form Selection Setting

For this example, I am going to select ‘Sample Registration Form,’ which I created using RegistrationMagic. Likewise, you can select your registration form as well and save the changes. Next, visit the event page on the frontend again and click on the ‘Register Now’ button. Now, you will see that the RegistrationMagic form for event registration instead of the default EventPrime one.

RegistrationMagic Registration Event Forms

An Enhanced Registration System for Events

By pairing RegistrationMagic’s powerful user registration tools with the highly versatile event management system of EventPrime, you can get more info on the users registering for your events. For user registrations, RegistrationMagic’s Automation and Analytics tools can be very handy.

With RegistrationMagic Automation, you can set specific user account and email actions based on form data rules. We have a complete guide on RegistrationMagic Automation, which you can check out right away. Also, RegistrationMagic’s Analytics tools will give you deeper insights into the demographics and behavior of your user registrations. Such as their IP location, time is taken to fill out the event forms, conversion %age, browser usage, and much more. For details, check out our detailed guide on RegistrationMagic Analytics.

Try out this amazing integration right now to add event forms, and let us know your feedback in the comments below.

Let’s start with the simple process of how you can translate this WordPress user registration plugin to the language of your choice.

All you need to do is head over to RegistrationMagic Translation Project, select your locale, and begin adding your translations.

Or you can follow the step-by-step guide given below.

There are three ways to translate WordPress plugins or themes into your preferred language:

  • Translating directly on WordPress.org
  • Translating locally using PO editor software
  • And translating on your own website using Loco Translate

However, it is advised by the experts that you translate WordPress plugins on WordPress.org.

Step 1: Translate RegistrationMagic

Option 1 (Preferred): Translate RegistrationMagic on WordPress.org

Step1: Login to your WordPress account and head to the RegistrationMagic page on wordpress.org. Or you can search for the plugin you want to translate.

WordPress Login

Step2: Click on the RegistrationMagic and on the page, WordPress suggests you translate the plugin into your local language.

Translate WordPress Plugins

Stap3: Go ahead and click on ‘Help translate it!’ or ‘Development.’

Translate WordPress Plugins

Step4: On the Development page, click ‘Translate “RegistrationMagic – Custom Registration Forms and User Login” into your language.’

Translate RegistrationMagic

Step5: Further, on the next page you will get a list of languages in which you can translate RegistrationMagic.

Translate WordPress Plugins

Step6: Search for the language you want to translate the plugin in and click on it.

Step7: You can manually add translations to each statement by double-clicking on the translation column.

Translate plugin

Step8: Click the ‘Suggest’ button once done adding the translation.

Suggest Translation

Step9: Once done translating, you can export the translation file by scrolling down to the page and clicking on Export.

Step10: The status of the submitted translations will go into ‘Waiting.’

Translate plugin or theme

Option 2: Translating RegistrationMagic offline on your computer

Step1: Go to the RegistrationMagic page on wordpress.org and download the file.

RegistrationMagic

Step2: Open the zip file and click on the ‘Languages’ folder.

Translate wordpress plugins

Step3: In the ‘Languages’ folder you will find .PO files.

po file

Step4: Edit the .po file using any file editor such as POEDIT or POEDITOR.

Step5: Use the above tools to translate the plugin into your locale.

Step6: Once done create an account on WordPress.org, go to the plugin (example: RegistrationMagic) click on Development, then “Translate “RegistrationMagic – Custom Registration Forms and User Login” into your language.

Step7: From the list of languages select the language in which you have translated the plugin in

Step8: Then select “Stable (latest release)”

Step9: Further, scroll all the way down till you find Import Translations

Step10: On the next window select the Translate File

Step11: Finally once you select the file click on Import (It will upload the translations)

Step12: Once uploaded the translations will go into a Waiting state

(Note: Only upload the translated .po file, it is not required to upload any other file or folder from the plugin.)

Option 3: Translate RegistrationMagic using the Loco Translate plugin

With this method, you can translate any WordPress theme or plugin right on your own website using the LOCO translate plugin:

Step1: You’ll need a translation plugin to translate RegistrationMagic on your website. You can use the Loco translate plugin.

Step2: Click on the Loco translate plugin link and download the plugin file for free.

Step3: Next, go to the website ‘Dashboard’ and install the plugin.

Step4: Next, go to Plugin Pages on the left menu bar of this plugin.

Step5: Further, click the RegistrationMagic link on the page.

Step6: Here you can select the Local language in which you want to translate the plugin files.

Step7: In addition to that, select the location and click ‘Start Translating.’ The page will automatically redirect to the Editor Tab.

Step8: Use the Filter translation Field and search the string X that you wish to translate. The String X will be displayed in the source text box.

Step9: Further, go ahead and insert the string Y in the Translation Box. Save the translation.

Step10: Now String X will be replaced by String Y.

Step 2: Approve Your Translated Strings

Translated texts are approved by local WordPress team of volunteers, and not by plugin author. You will have to request one of Translation Editors (PTE) to approve your translation. You can find the PTE assigned to the project on right side bar (scroll down a bit), as an example on this page.

If no PTE is assigned, you can request to become a Translation Editor (PTE) for our plugin here:

Making a PTE Request Template

PTE Request (Link provided for information only, you just need above link “Making a PTE Request Template” to complete the request)

Please make sure you are requesting to become a language editor (PTE) for your language only, otherwise your request will not be approved. You can tag us @metagauss in your request just like the user did here so that local language team knows that we are aware of your request. Volunteers will approve your request on first come first basis.

Once your request is approved, you can approve your translated texts yourself. You will be also able to approve any future translation requests from other users.

Step 3: Get RegistrationMagic for Free as a Reward

Conditions to qualify for reward:

  • Stable (latest release) and Stable Read Me (latest release) progress is less than 79% before you started the translation work
  • Stable (latest release) and Stable Read Me (latest release) progress is above 85% once your finish the translation work
  • RegistrationMagic appears to be translated to locale language

Once above conditions are met we will offer you RegistrationMagic Premium for free.  If you will help us in translating the RegistrationMagic Premium Version we will offer you RegistrationMagic Premium+ completely free as well!

Note that we cannot accept the translation files on the email system. You need to upload the files directly to WordPress.org so the translations are available through your account. (check above process).

You can claim your reward by contacting us on our support portal. Please provide the locale link in your message for quick approval).

Why You Need to Ditch Your WordPress Contact Form
A WordPress contact form can help boost your site in many ways. You will not have to take the hassle of taking in all the users who visit your site. Thus no need to build any user profiles to make your site bulky. Yet you can stay connected to your users via mail or message.

Look around on the web and you’ll see that WordPress contact form plugins are on almost every WordPress site. Regardless of whether it is a basic WordPress contact form or an elaborate multi page enquiry form, people need contact form plugins to receive user feedback. If you are also using a contact form on your WordPress site, it is highly likely that you are using the ‘Contact Form 7’ plugin. Almost all WordPress users start building their contact forms using the ‘Contact Form 7’ plugin at first, since it is the most used WordPress contact form plugin.

That being said, I am sure you’d be surprised to know how it might just be a hindrance, instead of help, towards achieving your WordPress contact form goals. So, today we are going to discuss 6 reasons why you need to ditch your current WordPress contact form plugin. And adopt a more easy and viable solution in its place.

1. Lack of an Engaging Interface

‘Contact Form 7’, though the most used WordPress contact form plugin, isn’t necessarily the most user friendly. It has the most basic user interface you can expect from a WordPress plugin when building contact forms. Even for a simple task like managing the form fields, you have to work with an interface that looks very much like a code editor. And as you already know, working with WordPress plugins shouldn’t require you to have any know-how of code editing. The interface should be as friendly as possible to someone who even has zero knowledge of code.

Contact Form 7 Form Configuration

When it comes to the interface, instead of using ‘Contact Form 7’, just switch over to the RegistrationMagic plugin. The switch will make you see how intuitive RegistrationMagic’s interface is. And how it allows you to do every operation from an interface that is just too easy on the eyes. You do not need to work with any code-like interface here and every field is sortable with a simple drag and drop action.

2. Lack of Advanced Form Fields

While ‘Contact Form 7’ comes with all the basic form fields you can expect, it can take plenty of time to configure them the way you want. For example, it gives you the drop-down field, however, you’ll have to add options to it manually. Now consider what would happen when you require a ‘Country’ selection field on your form? Would you just sit there for an hour adding all the country names to the drop-down options? Of course not. That’ll be a complete waste of time and effort.

WordPress Contact Form CF7 Drop-down Field

Instead, opt for RegistrationMagic, and see the benefits of its special ‘Country’ form field. All you need to do is just add the field to your form. That’s it! No need to add any country options manually yourself. The same goes for special form fields like ‘Timezone’, ‘Map’, ‘Language’ and many more.

Tips 1: In the same way, users can apply many custom fields to their contact forms with RegistrationMagic. Since these forms only bank on user contact details, you can also add additional email field to WordPress forms.

3. Lack of Tools to Collect User Data

Once users start submitting enquiries through your contact form, there is plenty of information to collect and manage. The ‘Contact Form 7’ plugin only gives you the option to send the data via email. This limits the amount of knowledge you can gain out of that data. Such as the location of the users, how much time they took to fill the form, and even which browser they used to do it. All this valuable data is lost when you only have the option to receive data in emails.

WordPress Contact Form CF7 Form Mail Tab

With RegistrationMagic, however, you get to have complete analysis of user data right within your WordPress Dashboard. And the data isn’t just dumped in front of you. It is organized into well formatted, eye popping charts and graphs. Once you get to use the statistics panel of RegistrationMagic, you’ll never want to go back to the old counter-intuitive methods of collecting contact form data.

WordPress Contact Form Dashboard

Tips 2: In RegistrationMagic the Dashboard of your contact form is the place from where you can do many tasks. Here with just one click of a toggle, you can turn your form into a registration form. Also, you can use this space to take care of your WordPress form design.

4. Lack of Intelligence in WordPress Contact Form

As you already know, the ‘Contact Form 7’ plugin allows you to send contact form submission details via email. However, what if you need to know if a particular user had contacted you before? Or if that person has already bought some products from your site? You can never tell from ‘Contact Form 7’ submission emails the history of a user’s activity on your website.

With RegistrationMagic though, you can know history of the user with the help of a few simple shortcodes. These shortcodes give you access to see the user’s form submission history, his/her user account details, and product purchase history from WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. All you need to do is just add the shortcodes into the form notification email template and RegistrationMagic will send you the data right within the notification emails you receive on form submissions.

New Submission Email Body

5. Lack of User Recognition on Contact Form Fields

‘Contact Form 7’ forms do not recognize if an existing user of the site is filling out the contact form. Hence, it is unable to help out the user with filling in form fields that he/she has already saved in the user account. Now if this user has to use your contact form, again and again, it can get very distressing filling in all the form fields every time.

RegistrationMagic recognizes whether the user filling out the contact form has already submitted it before or not. This WordPress form builder plugin does this by registering user details on the first form submission. And then it checks if the user is already logged in when using the form again. If the user is already logged in, the user data that is saved in the user’s account on the first submission will get filled the second time automatically. This saves the user plenty of time when using your contact form frequently. Such fields can be the user’s address, bio details, birth date etc. In short, you can thus choose to enable autofill contact form fields to save your user’s time.

User Contact Again

6. Lack of Form Design Integration with WordPress Theme

‘Contact Form 7’ has a default way of rendering the contact form on site front-end. This means that it doesn’t really matter which theme you applied to your WordPress site, it’ll have little effect on how the form design will appear to users. When users see the form design not being in harmony with the rest of site design, it can break their sense of immersion, leading to a dissatisfying user experience.

On the other hand, RegistrationMagic does what is expected of a polished WordPress plugin. It matches the design of your contact form with the theme on the site automatically. This doesn’t require any design editing on your part. If any changes happen to the theme design, RegistrationMagic will adopt those changes for the contact form as well. (You can find the link above in Tips 2)

I hope this post gave you a good insight into the evolution of WordPress contact form. And also why the old methods of creating WordPress contact form are no longer feasible. Especially in the face of the cutting edge and innovative features offered by RegistrationMagic.

Top 5 Exclusive Features: Best WordPress Registration Plugin

Whether you are new to WordPress or a seasoned pro, you must have felt helpless at some point finding the best WordPress registration plugin. Although there are many WordPress registration forms plugins out there to help you with registering users, hardly any of them offer the tools necessary to manage user registrations and user data properly. Features such as Automation, Analytics, Dashboard etc. are starkly missing from even the most popular WordPress registration plugins.

However, that isn’t true with RegistrationMagic Plugin. As RegistrationMagic brings to you all the tools you need, we consider RegistrationMagic to be the best WordPress registration plugin. And therefore, today we’ll be discussing top 5 features of RegistrationMagic plugin that make it stand out from the crowd and make it best WordPress Registration Plugin.

1. The Form Dashboard

Almost all WordPress user registration plugins give you a dashboard to create and publish forms. However, how many plugins provide you a dashboard for each form itself? None at all! Except for one plugin though, and that is RegistrationMagic. With the form dashboard provided by RegistrationMagic, you can see a consolidated view of all aspects of that form in one place. Whether it is managing the fields, auto-responders or third party integrations, you can find them all inside the form dashboard.

Form Dashboard

2. Custom WordPress User Registration Status

RegistrationMagic Plugin allows you to assign Custom WordPress User Registration Statuses. What that means exactly is that you now have the ability to perform a pre-defined set of actions on user accounts associated with a form submission. And that too with the click of a button.

Let’s assume there’s a situation where you need to manually create a user’s account once that user has submitted the registration form. What you can do instead is that you can create a Custom WordPress User Registration Status that creates the user’s account automatically. Now, once you have verified the user details submitted through the form, you can simply assign this Custom WordPress User Registration Status to that form submission and the user’s account will be created immediately.

Custom Status

3. Automation

Automation, as the name implies, refers to RegistrationMagic Plugin’s unparalleled ability to automate tasks that you would usually do manually. This includes creating or deleting user accounts. Or simply sending emails to users that selected their country as Canada on a form. With the Automation tools in RegistrationMagic Plugin, you can rest easy and let the plugin perform such tasks for you by itself. All you need to do is configure the Automation task from the RegistrationMagic Automation screen in the Dashboard. Once done, RegistrationMagic will handle everything else as soon as users start submitting the form. Complete information regarding automation is available in our WordPress forms automation guide.

4. Form Analytics

RegistrationMagic Plugin provides you with an complete portal to manage and asses statistical data from form submissions. With access to form submission stats, you can easily determine the most common location of users, how much time they took to fill up the form, and at what time the form is submitted most often. Not just this, there are many more stats you can access at the Form Analytics screen.

Form Analytics

5. Products

With RegistrationMagic Plugin, you don’t add pricing directly to your form fields. What would happen if you require those same pricing details on more than one forms? Or if you delete that form and the pricing details get deleted with it? Now that’s truly a perturbing thought! However, RegistrationMagic Plugin decouples payments from the other common form fields. Payment fields derive from RegistrationMagic’s ‘Products‘. This decoupling allows you to add instances of Products onto your registration forms, rather that payment fields directly. For more information, you can review our WordPress Forms Payment guide.

New Product

As a bonus point 6 (and with release of version 4.0), RegistrationMagic now offers advance (and exclusive) user login features in WordPress.

WordPress New User Registration Methods

What’s the most common way to register users on WordPress website? A user registration form, of course. And why even worry creating a user registration form when WordPress provides you a default registration system of its own? Well, the truth is, almost everyone browsing the web knows by now how the default WordPress new user registration system works and can easily evade registration when interacting with your website. If you are still sticking to the default WordPress new user registration system, it can cost you a lot of potential registration opportunities in the long run.

Today I am bringing to your attention 7 unique ways to register users on WordPress website. The key component that makes these 7 unique ways possible is the highly popular registration plugin: RegistrationMagic. Let us now look at each one of these unique ways in detail…

1. Contact Form

Contact forms are usually used to invite contact requests for various purposes. However, do you know that contact forms can also be used to register new users on WordPress website? If not, let me tell you how RegistrationMagic can help you with that.

RegistrationMagic offers a very simple and elegant way to control whether you wish to register users from your form or not. This setting can be found at two places in the RegistrationMagic Dashboard.

It can be found in the Form’s General Settings

WordPress New User Registration

Or it can be found as a toggle setting in the Form Dashboard itself…

2. Newsletter Sign-up

It is a very popular marketing method to keep your users updated on all latest offers through a newsletter. If you are using a newsletter service on your website, then you should also know that you can register users on WordPress with newsletter sign-up as well.

RegistrationMagic is compatible with all of the popular newsletter services. Whether you are using MailChimpAweber, MailPoet, or Newsletter, RegistrationMagic works magically with them all! To integrate your RegistrationMagic form with the newsletter service of your choice, just visit the Form Dashboard’s Integrate settings.

3. Product Purchase Form

If your WordPress site uses WooCommerce to sell products, then RegistrationMagic will allow you to create your very own customer registration form. This form will replace the default one that WooCommerce offers and you can edit the form in whatever way you like.

You can do this by setting the Default Registration Form in WooCommerce Integration settings (In Global Settings) to the RegistrationMagic form of your choice.

4. Exclusive Content Access

Sometimes it becomes necessary to keep certain content on your WordPress website hidden from public view. This content could be any sensitive information that should be accessed only by authorized users. Or it could be some copyright content for which people need to pay to access. Either way, you can make good use of this opportunity to register users on WordPress website.

You can create a membership plan with RegistrationMagic to register users on WordPress. And then allow only the registered users to access the restricted content.

Please visit our Payments Guide for more information on how to setup payments with RegistrationMagic forms.

5. External Social Profile Registration

It is not necessary that users always have to provide their details on the registration form right away. If a user already has all the required information on one of his/her social profile, then RegistrationMagic can accept that registration just as well.

RegistrationMagic allows registration compatibility with Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Microsoft Live, Instagram and many more.

6. Event Booking

If you are planning an event, such as a summer camp, and accepting registrations from your website, then this can be a great opportunity to register users on WordPress site as well. To create an event registration form on your website, that also creates user accounts, all you need to do is set a registration limit on your RegistrationMagic form.

Form registration limit can be set either by date, or by number of registrations, or it can be both.

7. Site Launch

Are you aware of the fact that you can register users on WordPress website even before it goes live? Many site owners create a buzz around their website brand before the site is even launched to the public. They do this by setting up a message and a form on their site domain URL to request more information.

If you are in the process of launching a new WordPress website, you can use RegistrationMagic for this purpose by publishing your registration form on a page…

And then making it your site’s home page from WordPress Settings -> Reading.
