How to configure radio button on WordPress registration form

Add radio button on WordPress registration form

Configuring the radio button on WordPress form is very similar to configuring a text field. A radio button allows presenting multiple options for the customer that they can choose from. However, in case of a radio button, the customer can choose only one option at a time.

Step by Step Tutorial

From your WordPress dashboard go to the “All Forms” section in RegistrationMagic. Hover on any of the forms and click on the “Fields” hyperlink which is also termed as the “Field Manager”.

This will navigate you to a new page with numerous pre-created fields. Click on “Add Field” from the operations box. Select “Radio Button” under the “common Fields” header.

You will immediately be taken to a page where you will see options such as field type, label etc. The field type stays as Radio Button and you can fill “Label” with Country. In the Options field, you need to enter all the options which you will be presenting.

Options here will include the names of 5 countries since in an example we limit options to 5.

You also have the Icon settings which will help in choosing the color, font and the style of the icon. This icon will be placed just before the Radio button field.

Advance settings

Under advanced settings, you can find the CSS class attribute. Fill the default value field with Canada so that the field automates Canada as the default choice.

Next is the “Required Field” which will appear as a field with an asterisk at the corner. The next segment “Add this field to User Account” showcases this value in RegistrationMagic’s “User Manager Area”. The last portion allows users to modify features on the form even after they have submitted them.

Now go back to RM “All forms” and copy the embedded shortcode ‘RM_Form id=’6’ in our case’ from the form.

Navigate to the “All Pages” section from “Pages” on the WordPress dashboard. Drill into the page where your form lies. In this case, we will be using “Sample Form”.

Paste the shortcode in the body section of the page. Click update. Go back to your Radio Button settings and click on “Add to Form”.

Radio Button Front-end

Notice that a link appears just under the heading named “Sample Page”. Click on the link and you will find your form configured with “Radio Button”.

From the front end, your “Radio Button” configuration will look like it is depicted in the image below.
