General Settings
These are the General Settings that are available to all forms individually for RegistrationMagic…
Form Title
Required Field
Set a name for your form from here that will display on the form card, on the all forms section, as the title of the form. Although not visible on the frontend by default, you can display the Form Title on frontend using a Form Meta Data widget. You can find the Form Meta Data widget under Fields Manager >> Add Widget.
It is recommended that you do not set the name of the form too long, and always keep it unique for each form for easier accessibility.
Form Description
You can add a description to the form from here for a more detailed explanation of the form. Although not visible on the frontend by default, you can display the description text on frontend using a Form Meta Data widget. You can find the Form Meta Data widget under Fields Manager >> Add Widget.
Select Form Type
RegistrationMagic supports two types of forms. One, that allows users to register on the site with form submission. And the other, that does not allow users to register on the site with form submission. Use the Select Form Type option to set your form’s registration type by selecting from either one of the following two choices…
- Enable WordPress User Account Creation: Selecting this option allows registration of User Accounts within WordPress on submission of the form. Admin’s approval will be required before user account is actually created on the site. This option is selected by default.
- Disable WordPress User Account Creation: Selecting this option disables User Account registrations with the form’s submission. This is an ideal option for offline registration forms or just simple contact enquiries.
Note: The Username and Password fields will not appear if you are already logged in as a user on the site, even if user account creation is enabled. In which case, your email address will automatically appear on the form’s Email field and you can change it with the form submission to change it inside your existing user account on the site.
Content Above The Form
Add the text here that you would like to display on the frontend of the form. This text will be visible just above the form’s fields and below the page title on the frontend. Use this area of text to display an overview of the form, provide any guidelines to fill out the form, or any important notices that users need to take care of while submitting the form. The text can also contain media files, such as images.
Both, the Visual and the Text editors, are available to edit this text.
Do not show “Previous” button (For Multi-Step Registration Form Only)
Select this checkbox to disable the “Previous” button on multi-step registration forms, thus prohibiting users from navigating back to already filled up form pages without reloading the form. Keeping this option enabled will help in maintaining data integrity on multi-step registration form submissions.
Show total price on the form
Use this option to display a total price field on your form. This is useful when your form has multiple products in it and you need to show users a final price of their purchase which includes the combined price of the selected products. The total price field will update in real-time as multiple products are selected and/or de-selected from the form’s product fields.
Form submission limit for a user
This option allows setting up a limit on how many times a form can be submitted by a single user. Setting this limit is useful if a user account on your site gets compromised and gets used to cause spam attacks via the forms. Setting up a limit to the number of times a form can be submitted by a user enhances security on your site and prevents occurrences of any unwanted intrusions.
Set the value of this field to zero (0) to disable this feature.
